Getting Around Aichi For Less - ★JR & Meitetsu　Monthly Train Passes 定期券
Ever wondered why every commuter except you has a special monthly pass? If you commute daily between 2 stations - by JR or Meitetsu - it may be well worth your while. One, three, and six month regular commuter & student passes are available.
If you are applying for a student-type monthly pass card, you will need a tsugaku-teikiken-kounyu-kenyo-shomeisho通学定期券購入兼用証明書or a tsugaku-shomeisho通学証明書 issued by the school.

■JR Monthly Passes
Regular commuter passes as well as passes for university students, high school and junior high school students are available. Applications for new passes can be made up to 7 days prior to the required starting date and can be done in person at any JR station during operating hours - just fill out an application form and pay at the counter. Applications for renewal can be done up to 14 days prior to the required starting date.

Daily commute Nagoya ↔ Kanayama costs 160 Yen one way.

■Meitetsu Monthly Passes
Regular commuter passes and Student passes are available.
Applications for new passes can be made up to 7 days prior to the required starting date and can be done in person at 95% of manned Meitetsu stations during operating hours - just fill out an application form and pay at the counter.
