★ Prepaid Cards
The Joint Yurika (共通ユリカ) and SF Panorama Card (SFパノラマカード) are pre-paid cards that can be used on city buses, the subway, on most Meitetsu
trains & buses, the Linomo, and the Aonami Line. Make sure the card has the red, “トランパス” logo (Tranpass) on it before you make your purchase. Cards are priced at 1000 Yen (1000 Yen credit), 2000 Yen (2200 credits), 3000 Yen (3300 credits), and 5000 Yen (5600
credits).
SF Panorama Cards are issued by Meitetsu and can be purchased at Meitetsu stations and on Meitetsu buses. The Joint Yurika, issued by
the Nagoya Transportation Bureau, can be purchased at subway stations and on city buses.
The card can be used directly in automated ticket gates at Meitetsu and subway stations, in the card slot on City and Meitetsu buses, in ticket vending machines, and in fare adjustment machines.
Additionally, if you transfer from a subway or bus to another bus, or from a bus to a subway within 90 minutes, you will receive an 80 Yen discount (40 Yen for children).
★The Red Button
Q: I have a several pre-paid “yurika” cards with only 90 Yen left on them. I can’t use them on the subway. How do I get my money back? A: Of course you can’t use them on the subway, the ticket gate won’t accept a card with less than 200 Yen left on it. However when you buy a new card you can add the money left on the old card to the new one. For example: If your old card has 310
Yen on it and you buy a new 5000 Yen card (5600 Yen credit), the new card will have 5910 Yen on it.
Here’s how to do it ...
Adult Yurika cards with less than 310 Yen left on them and Child Yurika cards with less than 150 Yen left on them can be used to top up a new card.
1. At the subway station, go the ticket machine that accepts 10,000 Yen notes.
2. Put in some cash to buy a new card at least 1000 Yen.
3. Put in your old Yurika.
4. Push the red “tsumi-mashi” button積み増し- located on the right-hand side of the machine (image #1)
5. Select the type of card (see image) and the amount you want (see image).

The machine will give you both the old (now with 0 Yen left) and the new card. Take both cards and discard the old card in the adjacent transparent recycling box.
If the card is a “トランパス” type you can also perform the same procedure in Meitetsu ticket machines. Cards with less than 1500 Yen can be used to top up a new 5600 Yen card; and
cards with less than 690 Yen can be used to top up 2200 and 3300 Yen cards.
