Application period: Applications must be made within 90 days of immigration, or within 60 days of birth. An adult relative living with a person younger than 16 years of age may apply on their behalf.

Documents required: Passport, two identical photos (4.5 cm long x 3.5 cm wide) of a front view of the upper half of the body (without any head covering) taken within the last six months (photos are not required for those under 16 years of age), completed application form for alien registration (available at the counter)
Issuance of the alien registration card: Your alien registration card will be issued approximately two weeks after your application is submitted. Cards for persons under 16 years will be issued on the spot.
