¡CVs / Resumes The Japanese resume (rirekisho) is very different from its English equivalent. It has a set format and is required to be handwritten with a photo attached. The forms, which come with instructions, are
available from bookstores and stationery shops.

If you are applying for an English-only related job, you will probably only need an English resume. The English resume format is left up to the individual, although it should be typed on A4 size paper and should not exceed two pages in
length. It may be worth investing in a book about resume writing, and remember there is a lot of free and useful information available on the internet.
