Notes
*Furniture, lights, and kitchen appliances are not usually furnished with rental accommodations. Renters cannot remodel an apartment without the consent of the landlord.

*Other people are not allowed to live with the tenant, except for those indicated at the time the contract was signed. Subleasing to another person is not permitted. If a renter does so without the consent of the landlord, the contract may be terminated.

*You must note the dates garbage is collected; garbage is collected only on the designated dates. You must confirm the date and place of garbage pickup with the landlord or the real estate agent.

*You must avoid disturbing others in the neighborhood, such as making noise late at night, or by hanging dripping wet clothes outside.

*Some areas have a chonai-kai (Township Association) comprising residents of the town block. The chonai-kai circulates a file called a kairan-ban to notify residents of important information. If the kairan-ban is left at your home, you must pass it along to the next house as soon as you have finished reading it.
