Wanted: Information on raccoon sightings and damage

Raccoons (araiguma / アライグマ) are a designated invasive alien species, and their impact on the ecosystem as well as potential to harm humans are a cause for concern. Their numbers increase rapidly if left unchecked, so control of the raccoon population is required.


What to look for: 
①Striped pattern on the tail ③Black “mask” around the eyes
②Black line along the ridge of the nose ④Footprints with five distinct digits
