◆Hungary Festival in Aichi – ‘Japan and Hungary, Exchanging Culture – Food, Haiku, Music’
ハンガリーフェスティバルin愛知“日本とハンガリー、交流する文化、食・俳句・音楽”

This year’s Hungary Festival will feature talks on “Japan – Hungary Food Cultural Exchange” and “Hungarian Haiku”; a performance of Hungarian Gypsy music; exhibits of Hungarian children’s paintings and embroidery; and an exchange event. Places are limited to 200 people; Reservations are required.

When: Sun. 3 Jun. (13:30 – 16:30)

Where: Nagoya International Center Annex Hall

Access: Above the Kokusai Center Sta. (国際センター駅) on the Sakura-dori Subway Line (地下鉄桜通線)

Admission: 1,500 Yen; Junior HS Students and younger free

◆The 4th Photo Festival in Japan
第4回フォトフェスティバル in JAPAN

An exhibition of photographs of Japan by foreign resident photographers on the theme of “Japan’s Four Seasons.”

When: Sat. 30 Jun. (12:00 – 20:00) & Sun. 1 Jul. (9:00 – 18:00)

Nunoike English Speech Contest
布池英語スピーチコンテスト

An English Speech Contest for all ages from junior high school students to adults, with two divisions:

①Recitation (recitation of a designated text) – Junior and senior high school students
②Creative speech (presentation of an original speech of less than 5 minutes’ duration) – From junior high school
students to adults

Participants are limited to a maximum of 30 per division, and a maximum of 3 entrants per school, and will be determined on a first-come, first-served basis.

When: Sat. 21 Jul. (9:30 – 17:30)

Where: Saint Mary College (布池外語専門学校) in Higashi Ward (東区) Aoi (葵) 1-12-23

Access: A 4-minute walk northeast from Shinsakae-machi Station (新栄町駅) on the Higashiyama Subway Line (地下鉄東山線)
