The complete skeletons of 9 giant dinosaurs and more than 60 fossils, including one of the largest dinosaurs ever discovered in Asia – the 27m long Ruyang Yellow River Dinosaur, will be on exhibition at the Nagoya City Science Museum this summer. Five of the dinosaurs on display have never before been exhibited in Japan.
The Ruyang Yellow River Dinosaur was discovered by accident in 2005 by a village farmer in Ruyang County in central China’s Henan Province. These giants of the Early Cretaceous Period ruled the Earth 145 million to 100 million years ago.
