Subway and City Bus Commuter Passes and Discount 1-Day Tickets

Ever wondered how come every commuter except you has a special monthly pass? If you commute daily on Nagoya City’s subway or city buses, it may be well worth your while. Ticket machines at stations have English instructions for buying both regular Manaca passes and Manaca commuter passes. You’ll save a lot of money when purchasing a commuter pass.

Commuter passes are sold as 1, 3, or 6 month passes. The longer the term, the cheaper it gets! Prices vary depending on the distance of your commute.

A variety of 1-day tickets are available to help save money on fares if you’re not a regular commuter but are planning on making multiple trips on the subway and/or buses in a single day. On weekends, the Donichi Eco (Weekend Eco) tickets are another great way to save money on the subway, city buses, and also entry fees to popular tourist spots in the City of Nagoya.

See the City of Nagoya Transportation Burea’s website for more information on tickets and the Manaca card.
