　　Appears a spirit of Shizukagozen(静御前). A woman dances with the ghost.

Noh 　"Momijigari"  「紅葉狩」

Kyogen  "Urinusubito"  「瓜盗人」

[Second Stage]

Noh  "Fujidaiko" ｢冨士太鼓」

　　　Famous drum player Fuji was killed by another drum player.

　　　His wife knew the tragedy, and played the drum in her grief.

Noh　 "Kantan" 「邯鄲」

A young man who complains about his daily life met a landlady in Kantan. She shows him a pillow which has a special power.  She said, "if someone uses this pillow, he or she will be spiritually awakened". So a young man tried to sleep using the pillow. He became a King in his dream. When he awoke from a dream, it was very short time. He knew the short lived joy.

Kyogen "Kakiyamabushi" 「柿山伏」

A buddist priest after practicing in the mountains came to the persimmon orchard.  He climbed up the trees to eat persimmons. The owner of the trees found him eating persimmons so he tried to punish him.

Noh "Ataka"  「安宅」

Yoshitsune（義経）, who is a younger brother of Shogun Minamotono Yoritomo(源頼朝）, had to leave the capital.  Ataka is a checkpoint (関所）where is the climax of his escape journey.

・Kyogen "Setsubun" 「節分」：The title "Setsubun" means the bean-scattering  ceremony celebrating the coming of spring. The story of a devil(鬼) came to Japan to eat soy beans from Horai Island (蓬莱) that is a legendary island inn the east ocean of China. He looked into a house, and saw a beautiful woman there. He fell in love with her, and tried to do his best.

・Noh "Yamanba" 「山姥」 : This play is based on a yamanba, it is a generic name for a woman devil who lives in the heart of a mountain. In this play, she helped traveling people and danced.

・Noh "Tamura" 「田村」：This work is bound for the foundation of Kiyomizudera   temple（清水寺）,which was founded by Sakanoueno Tamuramaro (坂上田村麻呂) in 780.

Tamuramaro is a famous bujin(武人; warrior ) in the Nara Era(奈良時代).

Kiyomizudera-Temple(清水寺) : It is one of famous temple in  Kyoto.

It was founded in 780 by Sakanoueno Tamuramaro(坂上田村麻呂) and rebuilt in 1633 by Tokugawa Iemitsu (徳川家光) ; the 3rd shogun of the Edo Era(江戸時代).

In December 1994, Kiyomizudera-Temple became part of the World Cultural Heritage(世界文化遺産).
