Children born between 2 Apr. 2017 and 1 Apr. 2018 are eligible for enrolment.

①Pre-enrolment Health Check (入学前の健康診断 / Nyūgakumae no Kenkō-shindan): 
Information from the Board of Education will be sent by post in mid-October. For more information, please contact the School Health Division (学校保健課) of the Board of Education (Phone: 052-972-3246).

②Enrolment Acceptance Notice (就学通知書 / Shūgaku-tsūchisho):
This notification of the school for which enrolment has been accepted, and the commencement date, will be sent by post from your local ward office or branch office by the end of January 2024.

③Residents of foreign nationality wishing to enroll their children in a public elementary school can apply to do so at the Residents Affairs Division (市民課) of your local ward office or Ward Residents Affairs Division (区民生活課) of your ward branch office.

*Please note that schools are designated according to residential address / school district. Falsification of residential address in order to attend a school in a different school district is not permitted. (As exceptional circumstances are involved, please contact the Residents Affairs Division of the ward office, or the Ward Residents Affairs Division of a ward branch office, for procedures related to attending a school in another school district, or attending a school in Nagoya City from another municipality.)
