Nagoya City Agriculture Park / Todagawa Green Cherry Blossom Festival (農業文化園・戸田川緑地 さくらまつり)

TodagawaSakura_300x225.jpgSeveral varieties of cherry blossoms can be enjoyed at Todagawa Green over around two months up to late April, starting with Kawazu-zakura (Cerasus lannesiana, which blooms from early to late March), followed by Kanhi-zakura (Cerasus campanulata), Somei-yoshino and Sato-zakura, with around 1,000 trees in total.


When: Fri. 20 Mar. (nat. hol.) to Sun. 19 Apr.
Where: Nagoya City Agriculture Park / Todagawa Green (農業文化園・戸田川緑地), Minato Ward (港区)
Access: From Tokai-dori Sta. (東海通駅, E04) on the Subway Meiko Line (地下鉄名港線), take the City Bus (市バス) bound for Kawaikobashi (河合小橋, departs terminal ③), alight at Nanyōshisho (南陽支所) and walk north for about 5 minutes. From Takabata Sta. (高畑駅, H01) on the Subway Higashiyama Line (地下鉄東山線), take the City Bus (市バス) bound for Kawaikobashi (河合小橋, departs terminal ⑤), alight at Nanyōshisho (南陽支所) and walk north for about 5 minutes. From Haruta Sta. (春田駅, CJ02) on the JR Kansai Line (JR関西線), take the Nanyō Circuit Bus (南陽巡回バス, departs terminal ②) clockwise course (右回り), alight at Todagawa-ryokuchi (戸田川緑地).
