This exhibition presents the diverse floral patterns of Chinese porcelain, with a focus on flowers of the four seasons: peony, lotus, chrysanthemum, and plum blossom. In addition to an examination of the colors and techniques used, exhibits will explore the worldview of the Chinese classics and poetry, and the fascination with flowers and the history of flower viewing.
When: Sat. 9 Oct. to Sun. 12 Dec. (9:30 - 16:30; 11:00 - 16:30 on 9 Oct.; Last entry 30 minutes before closing.) Closed Mondays (or the following weekday if Monday is a national holiday).
