November 1, 2022 marks the long-awaited opening of Ghibli Park within the Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park, located in Nagakute, Aichi Prefecture.
Looking back on the work of director Miyazaki Goro, who is overseeing the construction of Ghibli Park, and the animated works of Studio Ghibli, this exhibition presents a behind-the-scenes look at the production of Ghibli Park.
When: Sat. 29 Oct. to Sun. 25 Dec. (10:00 - 18:00; 10:00 - 20:00 on Fridays; Last entry 1 hour before closing.) Closed Mondays.
Where: Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art (愛知県美術館), Aichi Arts Center (愛知芸術文化センター) 10F
Access: A 3-minute walk via Oasis 21 (オアシス21) from Sakae Sta. ( 「栄」駅, H10 / M05) on the Higashiyama or Meijo Subway Lines (地下鉄東山線・名城線) and Sakaemachi Sta. ( 「栄町」駅, ST01) on the Meitetsu Seto Line (名鉄瀬戸線).
Admission: Weekdays - General Admission 1,700 Yen; Junior HS students 1,100 Yen; Elementary students 600 Yen. Sat., Sun. & nat. hol. tickets: +200 Yen. Tickets are advance purchase, date / time-designated. Pre-school-aged children free; Holders of a Certificate of Disability receive a 50% discount.
