Gotoge Koyoharu's manga, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (鬼滅の刃), began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump No. 11 in 2016. Focusing on protagonist Kamado Tanjiro, this heartrending tale of humans and demons, with bloodcurdling sword battles and sometimes comical renderings of its characters, found a huge following, and the 23 manga volumes have sold a combined total of over 150 million copies (including digital editions). The much-loved hit series concluded in May 2020.
This exhibition presents many memorable pages of creator Gotoge Koyoharu's original artwork and shares the world of the series, and the appeal that continues to attract attention even after its conclusion.
