Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology: Toyota Collection Exhibition, Inherited Karakuri Technology ( トヨタ産業技術記念館 トヨタコレクション企画展「からくり ご覧に入れまする」)

When you hear the word mechanical doll, what first comes to mind? Is it something amusing as it is movable, such as one on a float at a festival? Presenting the world of karakuri that extends to the realm of machines, this exhibition features its history, mechanism, demonstration, and experience.

 

When: 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (last entry to the permanent exhibition area at 4:30 p.m.), until Sunday, December 17, 2023

Closed: Monday

Where: Special exhibition hall at Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology (Nishi Ward, Nagoya City)

How to get there:

-            Take the Meitetsu Nagoya Line to Sako Station. It's a 3-minute walk from there.

-            Take a Me-guru Nagoya Sightseeing Route Bus from Gate 11 at the Nagoya Station Bus Terminal to the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology. (The bus stop is located on the museum premises.) It's a short walk from there.

Admission: ¥500 for adults, ¥300 for visitors who are 65 or older, ¥300 for junior high and high school students, ¥200 for elementary school students.
