NIC Japanese Class for Children (NIC子ども日本語教室)

As part of measures towards preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus, classes before 31 May have been cancelled.

Updates concerning class dates and how to apply will be announced on this page.


Learn Japanese skills necessary for school and daily life. For non-native speakers of Japanese aged 6 to 15 (born between Apr. 2, 2005, and Apr. 1, 2014), and junior high school students (except those attending evening classes; see NIC Japanese Class for High School Students) born before Apr. 2 2005. Max. 60 places; participants may be selected on a needs basis.


When: Every Sunday from 17 May. to 19 Jul. (10:00 - 11:30) (10 lessons)
Where: Nagoya International Center
Cost: 1,000 Yen for 10 lessons
How to Apply: Come to NIC 4F Exhibition Room 3 on Sun. 10 May between 9:45 and 10:15. Following completion of the application procedure, applicants will be interviewed. Applicants must attend with their parent, guardian, or another person responsible for their welfare (i.e. teacher, etc.).
