NIC Japanese Summer School for Children Online Lessons (NIC夏休み子ども日本語教室)

With the aim of providing the Japanese language skills necessary for school and daily life, NIC volunteers are preparing to host special summer vacation Japanese lessons for children online. Available for school children aged between 6 and 15 (born between 2 Apr. 2005 and 1 Apr. 2014) whose mother tongue is not Japanese.


*In accordance with the "New Lifestyle" guidelines for preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus, classes will be held online (via ZOOM).
*Please note that dates and times of the NIC Japanese Summer School for Children have changed to accommodate the shortened summer holidays for elementary and junior high schools in Nagoya City.

Participants:

  • Children aged between 6 and 15 years old (born between April 2, 2005 and April 1, 2014) whose mother tongue is not Japanese.
  • Junior high school students who were born before April 2, 2005, whose mother tongue is not Japanese


* Preference will be given to those residing in or attending school in Nagoya City.
*Internet connection, e-mail address and device (laptop with web camera and microphone, tablet or smartphone) are required in order to access ZOOM.
*Network charges are the responsibility of the user.


Capacity:

Up to 50 (First come, first served)

* Preference will be given to those residing in or attending school in Nagoya City.
* Capacity may be subject to change in response to changes in situation.


Participation Fee: Free


Application Procedure:

From 10:00 on 11 July to 17:00 on 12 July
Applications for the class are only accepted via the online application form on this page (available from 10:00 on 11 July). Please fill in the application form below and submit.

* Students should complete the application form together with their parent / guardian.
