■For those forced to take leave without leave allowance

Support fund & allowance for forced leave due to COVID-19 outbreak (新型コロナウイルス感染症対応休業支援金・給付金)

Supprt fund and allowance for workers at small- and medium-sized companies who have been on leave (without leave allowance) at the instruction of the employer between between October 2020 and February 2021.

●School Support (就学援助)

A system providing assistance with school lunch fees, school supplies and other expenses for households where attendance in municipal or national public elementary or junior high schools is difficult.

●City of Nagoya Scholarships (Senior High School Benefit-type Scholarship) (名古屋市奨学金[高等学校等給付型奨学金])

For senior high school students residing in Nagoya City whose guardian's income is expected to be equivalent to tax-free threshold for municipal resident tax (60,000 Yen for public schools, 72,000 for private schools). Apply via your school.

●Municipal Senior High School Entrance Fee Exemption & Tuition Fee Reduction (市立高等学校入学料免除・授業料減免)

Exemption or 50% reduction of entrance and tuition fees for municipal senior high school.

●Nobinobi Kosodate Support Program Fee Subsidy (名古屋のびのび子育てサポート事業利用料の助成)

Reduction of fees for users refraining from using childcare facilities through calculation of fees on a day-by-day rate.

Payments
■For enterprises whose sales have fallen by 50% due to consumer self-restraint

●Ongoing Payments (持続化給付金)

Payments of 2,000,000 Yen for small and medium enterprises and 1,000,000 Yen for sole proprietors whose monthly sales have decreased by 50% compared to the previous year (maximum amount limited to the amount of decrease from last year's sales); Maximum for freelancers 1,000,000 Yen, small and medium enterprises and sole proprietorships established between Jan. and Mar. 2020 maximum 2,000,000 Yen and 1,000,000 Yen respectively.

■For enterprises experiencing difficulty paying rent

●Rent Support Payment (家賃支援給付金)

Payments of up to 6,000,000 Yen for corporations, 3,000,000 Yen for sole proprietors paying rent and whose sales between May and Dec. 2020 were 50% less than for the same month of the previous year for 1 month, or 30% less than the same period of the previous year for 3 consecutive months.

●Employment Adjustment Subsidy (COVID-19 Special Measure) (雇用調整助成金(コロナ特例))

Subsidy towards business owners' expenses involved in providing leave allowance while aiming to maintain employment of workers.

●Subsidy for Leave etc. Due to Elementary School Closures (小学校休業等対応助成金)

Subsidy equivalent to wages up to 8,330 Yen per day (15,000 for leave taken after 1 Apr. 2020) when employees have taken paid leave in response to closure of elementary or other schools.

Subsidy (fixed) of 4,100 Yen per day (7,500 Yen after 1 Apr. 2020) for freelancers who have been unable to work due to closure of elementary or other schools.

■For enterprises whose income has decreased by at least 30%

●Reduction in Fixed Asset Tax and City Planning Tax (固定資産税・都市計画税の軽減)

Reduction in the tax burden in fiscal 2021 for small and medium enterprises, etc., whose income decreased by at least 30% for three consecutive months between February and October 2020, compared to the same period of the previous year.

■For enterprises considering introducing cutting edge facilities

●Reduction in Fixed Asset Tax (固定資産税・都市計画税の軽減)

Addition of houses/buildings and other structures as assets eligible for the exceptional measures reducing fixed asset tax to zero for up to three years for small and medium enterprises investing in cutting edge facilities, and extension of application by two years.
