Special Cash Payment: If your status or period of residence has changed since 27 April (在留資格や在留期間がかわったひとへ)

Even if you were not registered as a resident on 27 April 2020, you may still be eligible to receive the Special Cash Payment (100,000 Yen).


Those who satisfy all of the following (1) through (3) are eligible to receive the Special Cash Payment (100,000 yen per person):


(1) Had registered with the Basic Resident Registration System, but changed to a visa for a period shorter than three months (short-term stay) prior to April 27, 2020;


(2) Were living in Japan on April 27, 2020; and


(3) Registered with the Basic Resident Registration System after April 27, 2020 due to change of status of residence or period of stay.
