In order to inform residents about measures we can take around the home to be better prepared for earthquakes, personnel including members of the Nagoya City Fire Department will be making door-to-door visits to households in around 50 school districts within Nagoya City. Households will be provided with one item, such as fittings to prevent furniture from falling over, free of charge, to encourage residents to take steps to be better prepared for a disaster, and save lives. (This service is free of charge; beware of individuals requesting payment for this or a similar service.)
