As you enter the Library, turn to the left and head straight ahead to find books in foreign languages.
Along the walls you can find fiction, and closer to the center are nonfiction books by genre (e.g. Art, Biography, World affairs and culture).
More than half of these books have been donated to NIC by various generous people, which may be unusual for a library.
(And books from the collection that have been read by many and become old are introduced to new owners through the Book Recycling Bazaar,) Library users can relax in the Interaction Space and enjoy a book on Japanese gardens or a collection of masterpieces of art, or take something home by Nobel Prize-winning authors such as Kazuo Ishiguro's Never Let Me Go, or Faithful and Virtuous Night by Louise Elisabeth Glück to enjoy at their leisure.
While the Library's collection of foreign books is small, it spans a diverse range of genres, from novels, poetry, autobiography, and romance to history, philosophy, psychology, art, business, health and fitness, cooking, childcare, and more.
We hope you'll find a book just right for you!
Assistance with finding resources is available at the counter at the Library entrance. Please feel free to ask staff if there is something you're looking for.
