The City of Nagoya and Nagoya International Center have established the Nagoya Executive Committee for the Support of Ukrainian Refugees, and are working to provide support to refugees from Ukraine in the local area.

◎Collection of donations to support Ukrainian refugees

Donations to assist Ukrainian refugees are currently being accepted.
Donations received from the community will be used, through the Nagoya Executive Committee for the Support of Ukrainian Refugees, to provide assistance with the living expenses, etc. of refugees.

◎Organization of gatherings where refugees can converse in Ukrainian

"Meeting place" sessions will be held at which refugees from Ukraine can converse in their native language.
At these sessions, information about living in this area, etc., is provided to refugees, who are new residents in this community.

*Persons wishing to participate in these sessions should contact the City of Nagoya International Relations Division (052-972-3062), or the Japanese Ukrainian Culture Association.
*Sessions are not open to the general public.

◎Consultations available at Nagoya International Center Information Counter (Ukrainian support available)

Nagoya International Center provides living information, etc. and consultations to foreign residents of Nagoya City, including refugees.

Ukrainian language support is available using machine translation (tablet) and interpreting via telephone (reservation required).

◎Living assistance for refugees

Items necessary for everyday life will be requested from the relevent departments of the City of Nagoya and distributed to refugees.
E.g. free tickets for the Nagoya City Subway, free passes to public facilities, etc.
