Nagoya Miraikko Support System and the Piyoka Card for Child-raising Households (なごや未来っ子応援制度と子育て家庭優待カード「ぴよか」)

2021.06.30

Nagoya Miraikko Support System
なごや未来っ子応援制度とは

The Nagoya Miraikko Support System (Nagoya miraikko ōen seido / なごや未来っ子応援制度) is a cooperative initiative by business, community and local government for society as a whole to support children and child-raising households. The Nagoya Miraikko Support System includes programs such as a child-raising household welcome card.

子育て家庭優待カード「ぴよか」とは

Nagoya City households with a child under 18 years old (pregnant women are also eligible) who have been issued the Piyoka child-raising household welcome card can present the card at participating stores and facilities to receive discounts and other benefits, as determined by each participating store.
Piyoka is also recognized by Aichi Prefecture's Child-raising Household Welcome Program, the Gifu Prefecture Child-raising Household Support Campaign Program and the Mie Prefecture Child-raising Support Program, which means that Piyoka can also be used at stores and facilities that recognize Aichi Prefecture's Hagumin Card, Gifu Prefecture's Gifukko Card, and Mie Prefecture Child-raising Household Support Coupons.

And with Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya City also participating in a national mutual recognition initiative, the Piyoka card can be used throughout Japan at stores and facilities displaying the national initiative logo.

How to get a Piyoka card
「ぴよか」の交付を受けるには

Piyoka is issued either in the supplement to the Maternal and Child Health Handbook (Boshi kenkō techō / 母子健康手帳, issued to pregnant women when notifying the health center of your pregnancy), or, in the case of eligible households which have moved to Nagoya City from another municipality, at ward offices or branch offices.
If you are eligible but don't yet have a Piyoka card, or have either lost it or the one you have is out of date, you can have one issued or reissued. Inquire at the Public & Child Welfare Division (Minsei kodomo ka / 民生子ども課) of your ward office, or the Residents' Welfare Division (Kumin fukushi ka / 区民福祉課) of your ward branch office, or the 758 Kids Station (Nagoya Kizzu Sutēshon / 758キッズス テーション).
If you have a Piyoka card, don't forget to take it with you when you go out!

Nagoya Child-raising App NAGOMii
なごや子育てアプリNAGOM(ii なごみー)

NAGOMii is a Japanese-language smartphone app to provide information to support child-raising families seamlessly through pregnancy, childbirth, and child-raising. If there's something you want to know, or somewhere you want to go, you can find what you need to know then and there with NAGOMii.
Plus, you can also display an image of your Piyoka card in the app. Show the image of the card at participating stores to get the same discount or benefit as the actual card. That's great for those who don't really want another card to carry around, or if you've lost your card but don't have time to go to the ward office to have a replacement issued, or if someone wants to use the Piyoka card while another family member has taken it shopping.

The NAGOMii app is available for both Android and iOs.
