The entry of motorbikes (less than 125cc, e.g. motor scooters or gentsuki / 原付), bicycles and pedestrians to expressways is prohibited by law.

Around 30 percent of mistaken entry to expressways is caused by smartphone map apps.

To prevent yourself mistakenly entering an expressway, check your map app's settings, and pay attention to road signage.

For riders of motorbikes less than 125cc:

②Change your route option settings to avoid highways (expressways).
