Q: I heard that a night junior high school opened in Nagoya City. Who can enroll?

A: Nagoyaka Junior High School has opened in the 2025 academic year. Those aged 15 and above who did not graduate from junior high school or could not attend school very much for certain reasons can enter.

Classes are held five days a week, with four classes a day between 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. The school offers all subjects taught in junior high school. Japanese language support is available for those who need it. There are no uniforms. Tuition and textbooks are free of charge. Students can attend school while working.

In AY2025, Toyohashi Junior High School, a night school, has opened in Toyohashi City. Also, in AY2026, three other night schools, Toyota Junior High School, Komaki Junior High School, and Ichinomiya Junior High School, are scheduled to open.
