①Pre-enrolment Health Check (入学前の健康診断 / Nyūgakumae no Kenkō-shindan):

Information from the Board of Education will be sent by post in mid-October.

②Enrolment Acceptance Notice (就学通知書 / Shūgaku-tsūchisho):

This notification of the school for which enrolment has been accepted, and the commencement date, will be sent by post from your local ward office or branch office by the end of January 2026.

③Residents of foreign nationality wishing to enroll their children in a public elementary school can apply to do so at the Residents Affairs Division (市民課) of your local ward office or Ward Residents Affairs Division (区民生活課) of your ward branch office.

*Please note that schools are designated according to residential address / school district. Falsification of residential address in order to attend a school in a different school district is not permitted. (In cases where enrolment in a school in a different school district is preferable due to exceptional circumstances, please contact the Residents Affairs Division of your local ward office, or the Ward Residents Affairs Division of your ward branch office.)
