Exploring Art and Design（造形の探求）

This exhibition presents the museum's collection of modern and contemporary Western and Japanese Western-style paintings while focusing on various aspects of the artists' exploration of art and design. It unravels the appeal of the collection by exploring the background and context in which the creators' ideas take shape in the form of each piece we see. The exhibition also features the works of Teruo Onuma, an artist who continues to explore art and design while constantly evolving his style of expression, with human figures as his main motif.
Dates: Sunday, April 5 to Sunday, June 28, 2026
Closed: Monday (open on May 4), Thursday, May 7
