The application method has changed from a first-come, first-served basis to a lot drawing. Even if you apply early, there will be a lot drawing when there are more applications than places available, and it may not be possible for you to attend the class.
Learn Japanese skills necessary for school and daily life.
Participants:
・For non-native speakers of Japanese aged 6 to 15 (born between Apr. 2, 2010, and Apr. 1, 2019)
・Junior high school students born before Apr. 2, 2010
*Those attending evening junior high school classes, please see the NIC Japanese Class for High School Students.
*Preference given to residents of Nagoya City and those attending public elementary or junior high schools in Nagoya City.
When:
・【May~July】Every Sundays from 18 May to 20 July (10:00 - 11:30)(10 lessons)
*Applicants and parents must also attend an interview and make payment on 11 May (10:00~)
・【Summer Class】July 23 (Wed), July 27 (Sun), July 30 (Wed), August 3 (Sun), August 6 (Wed), August 13 (Wed), August 17 (Sun), August 20 (Wed), August 24 (Sun), August 27 (Wed) 10:00~11:30(10 lessons)
*Applicants and parents must also attend an interview and make payment on 20 July (12:30~)
・【September~November】Every Sundays from 21 Sep. to 23 Nov. (10:00 - 11:30)(10 lessons)
*Applicants and parents must also attend an interview and make payment on 14 Sep. (10:00~)
・【January~March】Every Sundays from 18 Jan. to 29 Mar. (10:00 - 11:30)(10 lessons)*No lesson on 8 Feb.
*Applicants and parents must also attend an interview and make payment on 11 Jan. (10:00~)
*If you do not come to the Nagoya International Center for the interview and payment, you will not be able to attend the classes.
*Children must be accompanied by their parent or guardian for the interview and payment.

Where: Nagoya International Center 3F Lecture Rooms, 5F Conference Room
Cost: 1,000 Yen for 10 lessons
※The participation fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Places:
50 (Lot drawing)(20 places for 1st to 3rd graders in elementary school, 10 places for 4th to 6th graders in elementary school, and 20 places for junior high school students.)
*Summer Class: 40 (Lot drawing)(16 places for 1st to 3rd graders in elementary school, 8 places for 4th to 6th graders in elementary school, and 16 places for junior high school students.)
Procedure:
*Be sure to apply within the application period.
*If the maximum capacity is reached, there will be a lot drawing.
Siblings who apply together may not necessarily be able to take classes together.
*Only one application can be submitted per person. If you submit multiple applications, all your applications will be deemed invalid.
