"NIC International Walking" is a walking tour for both Japanese and foreign people to experience Nagoya's history and culture. NIC Walking Guides volunteers will guide the tour.
- This time we will take a stroll through the old town of Arimatsu, the home of shibori dyeing [Japanese-style tie-dye].
*The tour will be conducted in English and simplified Japanese.
Date/time: - April 18, 2026 (Sat.) 10:00 am - 1:00 pm (canceled only in case of heavy rain)
Location: Arimatsu Tenmangu Shrine, Gionji, Oka Family Residence, and Arimatsu-Narumi Tie-Dyeing Museum, Arimatsu Festival Float Museum.
Meeting place: Ticket Gate at Arimatsu Station on the Meitetsu Nagoya Main Line
Capacity: 15 Japanese people (by lottery) / 20 foreign nationals (first come, first served)
Cost: Adults : 450 yen, Highschool students : 180 yen, Elementary and Junior high school students : 90 yen (common admission fee to Arimatsu-Narumi Tie-Dyeing Museum, Arimatsu Festival Float Museum.)

Applications will be open via the website or email from 10:00 on Wednesday, March 18th, and will close once reaching the maximum number of participants. (Japanese participants can apply only online from 10:00 on Wednesday, March 18th to 17:00 on Saturday, April 4th.)
